Radical flower arranging guild, The Order of the Black Tulip, invite you to partake in a game of Tambourelli, a sport imported to Scotland by descendents of the Anglo-Indian aristocracy. Following the rules of table-tennis, tambourines are used to hit a shuttlecock across a net. Expect a customised net, cloudy lemonade, subversion of the rules, gramophone music, partisan umpiring, a fickle scoring system and prizes. Don’t expect flower arranging. Optional dress code ‘sports-glam’. Fitness unimportant, everyone welcome, fun guaranteed.
