Free Training Event for Teachers
Monday the 21st of January 2008 9.45am-3.30pm
Information for artists:
A training and networking event for artists held in an inspiring location. The aim of this residential is to introduce artists to contemporary gallery education practice through creative and informative sessions.
Participants will:
- Understand more about the role of artist educator
- Discover how galleries in Devon have been working with artist as part of the enquire programme
- Develop new skills
- Network with other artists, teachers and gallery staff
- Hear about new research into gallery education carried out locally
We are looking for artists who:
- Are interested in sharing their practice and developing skills
- Work in an exploratory way
- Have a keen interest in contemporary art
- Enjoy working with people
Information for Teachers:
Teachers who are interested in using galleries to expand students' learning are invited to attend a seminar in an inspiring location. Organised by SW enquire cluster: www.en-quire.org
This seminar will give you the opportunity to:
- Explore how teachers, artists and galleries can work together to support and enhance the National Curriculum.
- Discover how contemporary gallery education can benefit your students and school
- Learn how to get the most from a gallery visit
- Network with teachers, artists and gallery staff
- Hear about new research into gallery education carried out by local galleries in association with the University of Exeter
